335 N54 turbo swop (2006 and 2009 model spec)

Will the turbo's from a 335i 2009 fit on my 2006 335i?

My 2006 335i has wastegate rattle and low boost issues, at 190,000 miles I am ready to change them.

I have been offered 2 complete low mileage turbos from a 2009 335i.

Are the turbos' interchangable between years, my car is a 2006 the car these replacements are coming off is a 2009.

The model code on the replacement turbos are:

49131-07005 and 7092163,
49131-07025 and 7080286.

I dont have time at the moment to take my ones off to compare/ or to check the numbers on my own car.

I dont want to buy them and then find there are differences and wont fit when we get round to swoping them over.

Anyone know if there are fitting differences between years?

I think he means production date 2006? Eitherway, All the N54 twins are the same.

Did you mean 190K KM or miles? If its 190k miles, thats very impressive. Are you still on original turbos?

surrey335i,
you should write a quick thread about your car's status over the years. Getting to 190k, is something the n54 community will want to read about, I think. Specifically on original clutch, turbos, and suspension. Talk of what kind of driver you are with your car, maintenance history, performance upgrades if any and so on.
