BMS backend flash failed?

My friend told me to come.and he will flash E50 corn map onto my untuned car. Everything seemed successful and even thru an SES code for running to rich. I put 4 gallons of e85 in my half tank of 93 and did a pull and the felt bone stock. Does this flash not work unless I have a JB4 ALREADY?

The backend flash is a stack on top of th jb4 that controls the amount of boost you will run. No jb4 no go...

oh well shit, I hope my car will be ok with an E50 mix, lmao...I'll be sure to never hit boost. JB4 should be in Friday and I'll just stack that on top of this backend flash.

Thanks for the info tho!

Even with out the jb4 it shouldn't have felt like bone stock! With e85 it should be running pretty strong.

I haven't looked, but I think it's just upping the fuel scalar. Without an increase in load it wouldn't feel any different. Just have neg trims...

You'll be fine with E50 just install a Cobb tune that's close enough to what you need and add 91 or 93 every 30miles to slowly lower the E85 content

haha, that would be too simple.. Unfortunately he sold his Open Flash Tablet and ordered a JB4 and had his buddy BTF his car with Terry's fueling flash.

Pretty much, whoops. JB4 will arrive Friday, so Ill go very very easy on till then. Even with OFT it would be useless as I would have to change the table values around and make my own custom map with your help it'd still take me some time.

If I read and remember correctly, running the back end alone will result in lower than stock boost targets resulting in less performance regardless of e85. The jb4 is the boost controller in this case and the flash side runs timing and fueling.
