The winter wheel before and after thread

Well I suppose it will give future winter wheel peeps an idea on what different set ups look like on different cars eh

My 313's came off today and have been replaced with 17" style 188's with staggered tyre set up. Fronts are 225/45/17 and rears are 255/40/17 and I have fitted new Falken Eurowinters.

I suppose it doesn't look toooo bad eh

A necessary evil where I live due to the steep hills into and out of my village.

I agree, even though they are 18s vs. 19s they certainly suit the car very well.

I kept my 19" LMs on last year and they now have bits of corrosion arround the base of the bolts, it developed in the snow and due to my lack of cleaning them

I just suggest you clean them often and seal them as best you can.

Although I would not use it for paint as it doesn't last that long, the Chemical Guys Jetseal 109 has done well on my wheels historically.

I'll be keeping on top of the cleaning as much as possible but as they are reps anyway (Flame suite donned!!) I'm not that worried!!!

Anyone know what are the winter wheels on P1et's mum's E93 ? On instead of the MV4s. To me, they suit the car very well, especially as they look like 18"s - not many 18"s look so good !!

They are style 350M reps. They came in black from the shop my father bought them from.

And you are correct, they are 18s...

At times I'm not sure which wheels I like most - interested to hear other's opinions...

^ Summer: Style-193 (MV3) 18" with staggered Falken ZE912s (not my choice - blame the previous owner)

^ Winter: Style-189 18" with Falken HS-439 winters in 225/40/18 and 255/35/18, powdercoated in anthracite for easy/lazy cleaning.

I've just emailed about a set of 19" "performance 313's with legal tyres" in need of a refurb. I'm thinking Black, maybe 2 rear winter tyres. Sound cheap at £400.

Although they look quite similar (you need to go back and forth quite a bit between them to see the difference) they are actually 350M wheels, not 270M wheels. The spoke design and the amount of spokes similar, but pay special attention to the design once the spoke hits the outside of the rim. That's where they differ.

Reviving an old thread haha, but with it starting snowing in a few places today, plus looking at the forecast for the next few weeks, I figured it was finally time I put the winters on that I bought back in November!

Quite an old photo, back before I fitted the front splitters
