Side View Mirrors
I have a 2011 e90 335 Tiag. I would like to change the look of my sedan by changing the appearance of my side view mirrors. I could pay the hefty premium and buy the OEM Carbon Fiber Performance covers. I am also considering having the current side covers painted black to match the OEM Performance Black Grills. Obviously going the painted route is less than half the cost of the carbon fiber covers.
Which way should I go?

Depends.
In my opinion, if you have no other CF on the car, go gloss black. it's a clean and classy look, and it doesn't add any new patterns or shades to your current setup.

If you want to keep it cheap, vinyl could work for gloss black (or other colours). Just don't do CF vinyl, it's obviously fake looking in external applications.
