Steptronic box - shifts up by itself in manual mode?
I got a 2005 330i here, so it has the standard steptronic box. Recently i discovered this problem, when let's say i'm in 4th gear, and this happens especially when i NEED it to go uphill, in manual mode, it just randomly shifts up to 5th gear... and let's say when i shift down from 6th to 5th for an uphill slope, sometimes it just shifts to 6th by itself.. it also happens more obviously when the road is more bumpy. Is there a developing problem??

Could be your shifter wires damaged from use. I've seen a few members here report on this issue.
