AFE Stage-2 Si PRO 5R Intake System

Seem to have got myself in a slight dilemma recently.

i was out having a few beers waiting for people to turn up at the pub and found a cheeky AFE stage 2 kit going on ebay.

before i knew it i had purchased it and its sitting on my door step. now i already have BMS DCIs.

isit really worth me keeping the AFE?

this is what the AFE looks like

comes with everything pictured.

should i keep it, or sell it on? i like the sound of the DCIs as it is. I may fit this if the weather holds out on the weekend just to see what it sounds like.

Probably the most expensive and best intake available for the 335i IMO. I had the same one but without the scoops and the air feeds and sold it for more than what you paid IIRC.

Performance wise you will encounter less heatsoak with this over the DCIs but IMO it wasn't enough to warrant what I paid (I bought it new). Also I have meth to counter the high intake temps so it made it even less useful for me.

just looks really small, they must cause a restriction when tuning?

I've got indnan's old intake on mine. Suppose to be one of the best intakes for the N54 engine, cannot say I can tell any difference from stock and probably a waste of money overall but if you got it cheap than no harm in sticking in on the car.

The intakes use the standard/normal intake/outlet feeds...as far as am aware it's the same setup for pretty much all intakes (including DCI).
