9500ix has GPS to lock out false alarms, very useful if you commute or do a lot of driving through urban areas.

Redline does not have GPS but has greater sensitivity and is immune to radar detector detectors(yes I meant to say that). Useful if you live in Virginia where they are illegal and the cops actively seek out detector users. That being said, the Redline will be much noiser than the 9500 because it will alert to everything.
