Tint %

I'm sure this has been discussed, but I'm getting some tint when I put my winters on next week and am torn between 35% and 20%.. I would like to try the 35% but I'm worried it's going to look too light. Anyone with SparklingG and black interior with pics of 35 or 20% tint ? Thanks for the opinions

Also wondering how much the iDrive screen is going to light up the interior at night making the tint appear even lighter.. any experiences with this ?

I can get pics up later of my SG w/35%, but I can tell you I think it's a perfect percent. I prefer lighter tints on darker cars, and darker tint on brighter paint if that makes any sense.

I have 20% all around on a black car/interior, I think it looks great, at night it is kind of dark but you'll get used to it.

LOL so what do you do at night?

With 20% at night, forget about looking out the windows, you'd probably have to roll them down unless theres a street light next to you.

I know because my rear three windows and my sunroof are at 17% and the drivers/passenger are 30%. Thank god for that too.

on my last car, it was black on black, and i had a 5% tint job on it... never had issues really... don't get me wrong, at night, yes it's dark as hell, but you get used to it... on my helmet for my motorcycle, the visor is dark tint as well, so maybe i'm just used to seeing things through dark tints, or maybe i have super powers that i didn't know about??

20% is definitely too dark for anything other than the back windows.

I have 35% with black interior. You can still see the inside from the outside.

I've had both of them on previous cars, and I prefer 35%, hands down. Driving with 20% at night use to annoy the crap out of me. 35 is perfect IMO, I even think that it looks better.

I have Formula One Pinnacle on my SG/black E90. I went with 35% on the sides and 15% on the back window. I think it is a great combination.

Here are some quick pictures. Overcast (imagine that in Seattle.....)

The F1 Pinnacle is a ceramic tint, and it is fairly reflective. If you pick a regular dyed tint, it won't be as reflective.
