done HID foglights using resistors instead of warning cancellers?

searched and only found those ballast looking warning cancellers
but they dont work

any1 figured it out? there yellow HIDs but when they first ignite THEY ARE GREEN and i think imma eventually tint them as soon as i
get them to stay on

I doubt it'll help. Parallel resistors are used with LED's because they don't sink enough current so they're detected as open bulbs; the resistors sink the additional current to get the circuit over the warning threshold.

I *think* the issue with HID fogs is that the ballasts are too reactive and that's tripping up the bulb state sensor in a more subtle way. A light bulb is basically a resistor, where a ballast has a much more complicated impedance.

Have you tried comparing the power consumption of HID ballasts to the halogens?
