I too got the OEM touch up from eBay.. the color match was perfect -- but -- you have to make sure you apply it very, very carefully. You would need to do multiple layers and apply only as little as possible at a time. Base paint, then clearcoat. Once its almost completely even with surrounding paint, wet sand it down with 3000-5000 grit paper and use Meguiars ultimate rubbing compound. Spray painting is probably better for touchups, but then its no longer on the cheap.

I honestly couldn't tell you as I haven't used it yet but based on what the poster said above, it should be good. The best way to apply these is with a toothpick though, the brushes just make a mess.

I used that Dr Colorchip and it work great. If the chips are large you will need a couple of coats

Well let me just say this - none of that Dr. Chip stuff will work on really deep scratches.. I had my whole side of car keyed by some fcuk and looks like he went ape on all the cars on the street that night.. man if only I could've seen this guy in the act, as Pulp Fiction says, it would've been worth it just to see him do it.. anyway, the sanding works well, but gotta be very careful with amount you sand off.. you can use some masking tape to limit your sanding down to half an inch above/below the scratch. It works ok.

A-Hole's abound unfortunately...Thanks for the tip on sanding but thinking of a layer build up then walking away fast as it's really not visible (Lucky)

One of the 1st things I did was buy some OEM touch up paint on eBay. Cost me around $30 -- which is 1/2 of the dealer price. You need both color and clear. The OEM touch up paint was perfect color match.

Had lots of deep chips in the hood and fenders of my car. Spent A LOT of time building up the layers in the chips and sanding/polishing them smooth BUT the chips in the hood were too many and too deep are were too noticeable in the broad expanse of the hood, even after they were filled, so I've decided to just repaint the hood.

However, the shallower chips in the fenders and the chip that I filled after a dent was removed from the ridge line in the front passenger side door came out very good and are hardly noticeable now.

Dr Colorchip works okay. Don't expect miracles. It's still there but not as noticeable.
