Giving in to a front end bra/cover...

I've been using my car for work purposes now. Lots of highway driving. In January I picked up a pipe or something in Orlando on I-4 and put a nice imprint in my front bumper. Thank god it didn't go through the radiator or IC. I hate that ******* road. This week I picked up a rock and busted out my driver side fog light. (glass fog lights I put in this past fall with my oil cooler!). So I'm giving in and getting a LeBra ASAP. I've had bras on my Accord, Corvette and wife's Supra over the past decade and had great success with them. I'm super anal about the install. I cannot stand the hap hazard ones I see on the road flapping around. And I also remove and wax behind them about every other month. Just aggravating trying to keep my car nice and nothing but rubbish on the roads in FL. Every road in Tampa is under construction, and they can't seem to finish them. Windshields are the next item of damage around here. Sorry, but had to vent. it's BS. FL needs to get the roads fixed up and get car inspections done every year. We have so much junk on the road you would think this is a 3rd world country. Not to mention how much trash people dump on the road side, like sofas, TV's etc... WTF is wrong with this picture.

^ I'm thinking the bra itself will help more on the paint, but maybe film on the fog lights and headlights is an option.

Protection tape like the 3M strip will help do the same as your bra without looking as ugly as one. 3M protection film is very effective. I do a lot of highway driving and constantly like you have rocks and what not flicked at my car. Not once has that strip failed me. Good quality stuff.

I had a clear bra installed from xpel by a professional, I have the the full bumper, mirrors, fenders and partial hood, as well as the headlights and fog lights covered. Best money spent, I recommend having the areas being covered to have swirl removal done since it will be there for a while. From 10 feet away its almost invisible and it provides excellent protection, all you have to do is wax it every once in a while (without power tools). The expel also comes with a 10 year warranty against fading, yellowing and cracking.

while you're at it, put a paper bag over your head, you know, to avoid scratches.

Not sure how a cover will stop a pipe denting your bumper or a rock breaking a headlight

LOL @ Taran...

Front end bras remind me of the Trans Ams, Grand Ams, Mustangs and Camaros of the 80s and 90s...sorry, I'd do clear bra, but not one of those black leather monstrosities.

Go with Xpel. Longer guarantee. Maybe a couple hundred extra bucks, but worth it. And if you cant stand the look of line through the middle of your hood then get the whole hood done.

^ I ordered a cheap LeBra for the short term fix. I'm no going to clear bra over damage on my front bumper. This will buy me time to get the $$ to have the blemishes and bumper damage from the 1" pipe fixed. Then clear-bra. I ordered a new plastic fog light off Ebay for $24. No way I'm spending another $120 on a glass unit. On the passenger side I won't have an option as I have the Dinan oil cooler kit.

^not true. If correctly installed they don't flap. I've had them on numerous car and NEVER had any damage to my paint. When I sold the car, took the bras off and everyone always commented on how nice the front end was. In FL we something called LOVE BUG Season, twice per F'n year. Take a hwy trip during those seasons and see what your front end looks like....
