HiFi system rear speakers
I've just swapped my interior from alcantara to leather, and the new rear door cards only have one mid range (I think) speaker, where as my old door cards have the mid range and separate tweeter.
I can remove the tweeter from the old cards, but dont really fancy butchering the new ones to fit it. Plus it will then leave a hole in the old ones that makes it harder to sell on with the seats. Would I be better just upgrading the single speaker on the new cards to some factory fit Alpines or similar, or should I sacrifice the old cards? I can't decide which is best! I'm guessing some Alpines would be much better than the HiFi stuff anyway? Hi there
I had the same considerations. I choose to buy a set of Gladen units with which both have the midrange and holds a tweeter in the middle. Sound way better than the std. hifi ones.

I dont want to be left with olds in the old cards though!
I think I'll just stick with the normal ones for now and upgrade them once Ive recovered financially from the CIC fit |

Are you powering the rear speakers from an amp or from the HU?
