Nice 335d sighting in San Jose, CA 04/09/14

Had to make a run to Costco for some camping fixin's and ran across a fellow 335D in the parking lot.

Since they parked at the "less crowded end" away from errant shopping carts like I always do , I figured we'd make it a party and park close to them.

I was wondering if they'd even notice if a fellow D driver was next to them or not. (Of course, the tinted windows and personalized plate pointed to a high likelihood.)

I was going to leave a note, but didn't have a notepad or pen, and the thought of leaving a smartphone under their wiper seemed like a bad idea.

When I got back to my car, I had the following note under my wiper.

Of course they were on E90POST!

Unfortunately I couldn't find jiaan13 or E90DCL in the memberlist to leave them a PM.

Jiaan13, if you are here, please say hello!

I believe we live in the same neighborhood. I see you driving down Coyote Rd frequently.

Got rid of the 335d a while ago (one of the few cars I regret selling), thinking about a 535d next.

I'm mostly a lurker here, and haven't been on the forums for a while. After I tried to log in, I realized that I wasn't even using that username here

Wow... small world. What street are you near? I'm near Delridge. Nice to have a fellow BMW person in the 'hood.

What are you driving now?

Let me know your thoughts on the 535d... I was thinking that same, but really want a wagon.

The license plate rang a bell, wasn't sure if I saw you on the forums or in traffic somewhere. Figured you'd be on here, and if anything, that note would be an impetus to join the forums

In your sig you list "euro 12v outlets"... what are those?

Cost is around $100 for the new bezel, cig recepticles and drawer. I love using them to charge electronics. I connected them to the existing 12V outlet in the armrest section. They are still switched, but it is better than the two BMW provides.

The little drawer is pretty small and I only use it store the outlet covers. It came with an ashtray to put in there, but it takes up too much space.

If you need more info, let me know. It is one of the first things I did after I got my 335d.

Near Hassinger.

Currently have a E39 540it. Same need for a wagon and the E61 nor the F07 do it for me; not a fan of the N47 in the F30 at all so that is out of the question.

The new N57 is even quieter and quicker responding than the M57; coupled with the zf 8hp it is an amazing powertrain.

Though I am a diesel fanatic, the N63 in the F10 is just as awesome in it's own way; tough decision.

How much are tents at Costco? I let my membership expire a year or two ago.

Next month, I am heading up to Crater lake and Yellowstone then coming down through Denver, New Mexico and hitting the Grand Canyon and ending in Yosemite. Figure I will try to tent it in the National Parks to save some dough.

I love the E39 540it! I was actually looking for one in CL recently, but most I have seen are beat or high dollar. Your wagon is probably the best looking wagon around.

I'm holding out for the 2015 Sportwagen... With AWD and a manual, looks like it might be a fun wagon. Looks a heck of a lot better than the current sportwagen!
