Elsd On 08 335?

Is the 08 335i coupe or sedan going to have an electronic LSD as an option or standard feature?

For the 2,000th time: electronic LSD ≠ LSD. It's just DSC. Not an option, it's standard, and always has been. Marketing BS because Infiniti has an LSD, and the 335 should.

I know that, but the reason i asked is that i read another post where a guy said that post march built 08,s would have an ELSD or something like that. I am well aware that theres no lsd or elsd in our cars unless you go aftermarket. And i,m well aware that the 335,s should have them. To be honest the only thing that almost stopped me from buying my car was that there is no LSD. But i,m sure as hell glad i did buy it.If the price is half ass fair (which i doubt) i will probably put a Dinan LSD in when they come out. According to Eric from Dinan in california, last time we spoke he said they are coming out out with one.

I'd be shocked if BMW ever put an LSD in the 335i, or offered it through their new performance line. It would eat too much into the marketing of the M3. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think BMW has put an LSD in a non ///M car for years.) The 335 is getting dangerously close to M3 power with simple tweaks, and cannibalization could be a much bigger problem than the increase in parts sales. I hope I'm wrong, though.

I doubt it also.About BMW putting a LSD in the 335. When i spoke to Eric at Dinan he told me that they are coming out with the SW,an intake and a LSD for the 335. I spoke to him about this weeks ago.He told me and i,m quoting him exactly, the flash will make at least 50 hp and 70ft. lbs of trq. with the top speed limiter removed, better driveability and throttle response for 2k. The intake would be under 1k and no specifics about the LSD. When i asked if the hp figures were to the wheels he said that they go buy BMW,s hp and trq. figures.Another words CHP. This is what i was told so dont flame me.

Sort of.

It is standard since March 2007 on the 335 only, it is not really a DSC, but a function of the same that is triggered when all controls are off (button pressed for 5 secs) and brakes the internal wheel spinning like a mechanical LSD and with an effect that is really similar to the LSD one, although it is slightly slower but also it is easier to control the car's reaction.
