Question for guys with backend flashes for E85

I'm debating on whether or not to flash my car, I am FBO with the SteveAZ inline pump upgrade. My only concern is that occasionally, I do run into circumstances in which I can't get to my normal station to fill up, and have to run with just normal 91 octane. Right now, it's no issue, just throw it into Map 1 until I can get my hands on more octane and then switch it back. I'm moving to an area which has E85, but it's nowhere near as convenient as where I've been and will probably run into this problem more often than before.

I know that the flash adjusts fueling and increases timing, am I safe to putter around below 3000 rpms in Map 1 or 0 like I have been doing when I don't have access to E85? I don't want to damage my car by driving with 91 octane with an E60 specific ignition curve.

Thanks!

Stay out of high boost on low octane on E85 flashes. The car can handle full timing at around 14psi on 93 pump fine with fbo, but 18psi on 91 with an aggressive timing curve would be... interesting, to say the least. Also, many E85 backends target a bit leaner than pump, so you might want to back off a bit from that perspective too. 12psi would be pretty safe I'd think for an E85 backend with 91, bit more with 93 and/or fbo, but you could always just log and see.

100% fine just make sure that whoever uploads the flash knows what they are doing.
