How eliminate angel eyes 2006 325xi

I would like to eliminate the angel eyes on my 2006 325xi and not get the light showing on my dash. Does anybody know what the resistance of the angel eye bulb would be so I can install a resistor and not get the error message.

Thanks

Yeah def a weird request.. I love my angel eyes, and all I did was replace the bulbs when one burned out. Easy and cheap.

I've gone through two sets of bulbs and there does not seem to be anything wrong with the electrical system. The option is to get the angel eyes installed by the dealer who would then guarantee the bulbs. The OEM bulbs are an uninteresting amber and would cost close to $200. They only come on with the low beams so are not visible during the day. Given all of the above I can live without the angel eyes.

As for coding them out I have only have INPA and Ediabas installed. So installing a resistor is a quick and dirty solution if I knew what size resistor.

I've had nothing but problems with LEDs myself. I've been running LEDs for about a year and a half now and I'm on my 4th or 5th set. My experience has been they are less reliable than the OEM bulbs. Only reason I put up with it and keep swapping them out is I love the brilliant white look the LEDS have.

Okay. I installed NCSExpert but have no experience with that program. Can you list the steps for coding out the AE bulb? Much of the program I have in INPA and now NCSExpert is in German.

TIA

Switch to LUX. I installed my LUX angel eyes (5.1 at the time) over 3 years ago, and they're still running bright.

I can check the resistance you would need, but if you do that the resistor will get very hot and you will need to use a 25 or 50W resistor, mounted to a piece of Metal inside the car. Honestly i wouldnt recommend it. LED Angel Eyes will last much longer and draw less than stock as well. We offer the LUX E90 V5.2 angel eyes and they should last for a good number of years without problems.
