Just did the throttle reset, my car lots all its pep, thought it was broke, did a reset and WOW its fast again, probably why that Mustang beat me so bad the other day, not any more...

1. Insert key, foot off the brake, foot off the gas.
2. press start button.
3. Press on gas pedal all the way down for 30 seconds.
4. While foot on pedal at 30 second mark press start button, release gas.
5. Leave key in, wait a full 2 min to start, press brake hit start button and drive.
6. Instant power.

And now if your are gonna drive like a granny, your car will learn and be slow again. Apparently does it over two weeks. Better step on it.

I've only done it once and slowly I have drifted to a "slow poke" pedal as I drive slow in city traffic.

did not know you could do this! i'm gona try it out today. I step up on once a week to 5000-7000rpm or so, so it should be interesting to see how resetting it changes the response

I think it has something to do with transmission adaptation (learning behavior) rather than anything related to the engine.

Would I need to do this step when the trans is in DS mode or does it reset with the steps I did when the trans was in D mode????

Does your foot on the fuel keep the car from starting when you release the start button between the press of step 2 and the second press in step 4?

Cheers.

Just don't touch the brake pedal and your car will not start.

There's a function in Rheingold ISTA/D that does the same thing. Tells you what the current learned values are too. These are the transmission adaptations.

I would assume that as long as you are in sport and kick down, the car goes at full performance, regardless of learned behavior.

If you like the way your car drives currently, DONT DO THIS! I cant wait for mine to forget holding the gear unnecessarily long when basically just coasting along.

Mine does this right now between 2nd and 3rd. It's random and super annoying when driving in slow moving traffic.

I have exactly the same. Holds on too long to 2nd and then abruptly jumps to 3rd. Particularly annoying in the morning.
