used spacers with some damages..

I have a set of used 15mm RE spacers
I plan to use them with my winter tires/wheels
there are some damages(something like curb rashs)on them.
would it be ok if I reuse them??
or should I just buy a new set??

Post a picture of them if you can.

It gets touchy with spacers, cause the slightest flaws can sometimes cause vibrations in the car/steering wheel.

Yeah if the spacer is not smooth, or have bumps in it could cause the wheel to not spin straight, and vibrate. But post a macro shot so we can get an idea of the degree of the damage

Damn, it's not rashed, it's chipped off..

I doubt it'll ride smooth, but put it on and see...just make sure you got the extended lugs for it as well

Those spacers are still usuable. As long as the centering lip is undamaged
(looks okay in the pics) and the machined surface doesn't have anything
protruding, preventing it from laying flat between the rotor and wheel, it is
still good. Just make sure to put a good layer of anti-seize or grease
to prevent the spacers from sticking ...looks like that is why those marks
are there. Someone sticking a screw driver to pry it off.

No particular brand of anti-seize or grease. Just go to Autozone, Pep Boys
or any auto parts place. They should have it.

Like the other guy said, as long as the center ring is not damaged, you MAY be alright. However, when you consider that even some surface dirt or rust, where the spacer and hub meets, can cause vibrations, then well, you can only imagine what this sort of damage can cause.
