done this mod today ///m shift knob

Well i got this knobby for a long time now. I was doing bits and bob today so i thought i try fitting it on.

I had to cut a little to get the hole bigger on my original boot to slip the dct gear bootninside and the wire. It fits perfectly and it is very secure without adding anything.

Now if i can figure out how to get the lights working it will be great.

This is the m3 version with extra 3 wires , so the m5 smg retrogit guide doesn't help.

Thanks

I assume this can be done on a pre-LCI? My shifter is looking a bit tired (the silver trim is coming off the top) and was going to get like-for-like but if I can find an M one I may try that too!
