Changed key fob batteries, still getting low battery notice

I've been getting that low key fob battery notification every time I get into my car, so I changed the batteries in the fobs yesterday. They work better, noticeably more range, but the notification still appears on the dash. Is there something I need to do to reset it?

They are comfort access key fobs if that makes a difference. I never put the key into the slot on the dash, perhaps it needs to be put in there so it recognizes that the battery is charged?

Thanks!

Would a low car battery cause this? The notification is for the key battery, not the main battery. I tested the voltage of the new key fob batteries and they are fine. The key fobs work much better now, but the car still thinks the key fob batteries are low.

Low car battery does strange stuff.

Did you tint your car perhaps that is known to cause
remote problems.

This afternoon it did not give me the notification. Looks like it sorted itself out.
