Pfaff tuning. Weston Rd/Hwy 407. Auto Mall - right beside Maranello.
There might be a sale right now. Previous quote from almost 2 years ago was $750 + taxes. the power upgrade for S1 is about 60 whp/60wtq There was talk of S2+ by GIAC but it never happened. Last edited by bobblehead; 07-11-2011 at 08:19 AM.. |

That's a bold statement. I would have to disagree with that one.

Why not opt for a JB4 and save some money for other bolt-ons i.e(FMIC,DP's,METH,EXHUAST)... Not bashing the GIAC, im just wondering....

Giac is really good but being "easily the best chip out there for the money" it is not imo. theres a lot of options out there i would suggest doing some research on all the tunes that are available. what are you looking for in a tune because each tune offers something different.

Oh the Dinan is a lot more expensive, and I will never claim the chip to be the best out there or the best bang for your money. It's a relatively conservative tune, but it also allows me to retain warranty. And warranty is its best selling feature.

I can't speak for other flashes but I have the GIAC software with map loader option. A great feature if you choose to load the stock program (in the event you need to take it in for service) the stage II flash which is the equivalent of other tunes/piggies on the market and of course the "race" map which compliments race gas/meth injection. This will give it additional ponies. Do a search for Mr. five, he is a good source for all things GIAC.
Other option of flash loaders is Valet mode, disabling turbo spool. IMHO, GIAC is a fantastic tune for the reason that it is easily loadable (even on the fly, no need to pull over-shut/start the car, do a rosary, etc.) in virtually seconds. It also is a very reliable tune with reputable dealers standing behind its product. I have a Porsche serviced by the same dealership that installed my GIAC flash and that speaks volumes about GIAC. I have no affiliations with GIAC yada yada yada. |
