Confused by all the front bumper options
OK, I've tried to keep track of what front bumper replacements are available for my 2007 (pre-LCI) E93 (no PDC). So many of them appear to need a lot of modifications (grills, brake and oil cooler ducts, etc) to make them fit properly. I'm willing to pay the extra money to get a direct replacement that fits right off the bat and comes with everything I need (i.e. new fog lights, undercarriage panel, etc).
So I went to REALOEM.COM and looked at BMW replacement bumpers for my year E93. There are 2 options listed: the standard bumper (which I currently have) and the M-Front Bumper. It "looks" like the M-Front bumper can replace the standard bumper pretty easily. Can anyone tell me if this is the case? Would I need to purchase other parts (e.g. fogs?) separately? Lastly, I am also willing to purchase a similar bumper from an aftermarket supplier as long as the fitment is just as straight forward. Can anyone with experience here help me out with some advice? Thanks in advance, Chris

Get a hold of Longtran at LTBMW and tell him what you are trying to do, he will set you up with everything you need to get the look you are going for. They will even paint it prior to shipping it with perfect paint match.

Dude, just order this from Tischer (getbmwparts.com):
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462 As the description says, it includes everything you need. Then take the kit to a body shop, and voila you're done. |

There are 2 options for your E93 from BMW.....
M Sport Front Bumper Kit - on special here. Includes bumper, grills, fogs, etc. - everything needed for the swap. or an easier/quicker option is the Front Aero Lip (also on special here, and available pre-painted) Let us know if you have any questions!

PKE92TFRONTMTECH* I am relatively handy with tools. If I get it painted by a local bodyshop, is this something that I should be able to install myself? Or does it require more than two hands? Thanks for your help!
