No, are you sure that's where it's coming from? If so, that's not normal. I notice the sound the most when popping the trunk and the car was in sleep mode.

I thought the new fuel pump location creating the noise (maybe, I guess it wrong).

No, when I opened the door (unlock) after sitting in the garage for a couple of hours, I heard the sound of the motor.

Where exactly is this sound coming from? I am going to check it out carefully tonight.

2011 BMW e92 M3  [9.00]
I traded my old 2007 323i and some cash for a 2007 335i. The car was from a non-BMW dealership.

I was curious to see if the recall fix has been done on the car, so I went to my BMW dealership's service center here in Vancouver and asked them to check if the recall fix has been done. Not surprisingly it hasn't been done yet.

I asked them if they could do the fix and how much it would cost me. They said that they would do it at no cost because it was still under warranty.

I managed to get my hands on the service and maintenance print-out and here is the information I got (leaving out some details here):

Description: 335i E90 LIM AUT LL N54 USA
Type: VB83
Production Date: 06/28/2007
Warranty Start Date: 01/22/2008

Defect Description
- E6x E8x E9x E7x N54 US Programming control units (DME data status)
- E6x E71 E82 E88 E9x N54 US Checking injectors and replacing if necessary (part II)
- E60 E61 E71 E82 E88 E89 E9x N54 US Replacing high-pressure pump (part II)

In any event, I very happy to make an appointment with them, so now I am just waiting for it to be fixed
