Engine sound
So I went to start my car yesterday and heard a strange noise coming from under the hood. It seems like a whistling noise. I drove it for 5 min and still continued. So for now not using it. Well post up a video tonight thanks.

Got an XI? If so, they all do that jet airliner thing under certain conditions, but only at highway speeds. Annoying, but then the snow comes ;-)

Yup; def a pulley or strap.
Is it constant over the rpm band or is it increasing with the engine's speed?

I'm pretty sure your favorite mecanic could pinpoint with the car in front of him; but dont go to the dealer unless you're stuck.
But I would go all in on checking around pulleys first.

So tooK it to my local dealer and they said that all drive belts are damaged/cracked. They recommend to replace belt tensioner alternator belt (belt tensioner broken). Gave me an estimate for 572.38. Anyone know a good mechancic around santa Barbara?
