313 alloys on E90

Hi

I\'m thinking of getting a set of 313 performance alloys fitted to my new E90 as soon as it arrives. I\'ll either sell the alloys on it or keep the alloys, eBay the tyres and stick a set of vreds on them come Sept.

Q: what do people think of the look of 313 on m sport E90? Mine will be in LMB. Does anyone have a picture of a LMB saloon with them on?

Also thinking about a boot spoiler too. Proper BM £330 one. Same question as above re the look and also should I get a CF one or one that\'s in the body colour?

Opinions / experiences most welcome.

Phil

Dont think 313s suit the E90/1 (sorry!) Spoiler would though!

+1

I think the 313's are more suited to the E92 or E93. It's your car at the end off the day

Think he meant 'look' rather than 'loom' which then makes it make sense!

My car is an E90 with 313's and the BMW carbon boot spoiler, have a look at the photos in my garage if you like.

They came added to the car when I bought it (it was previously the business manager at my local dealers car).

Honest opinion - I love the wheels to bits, they really make the car look 'special' in the flesh, look fantastic on E90 and you won't see many like it on the roads.

Would I buy them again? - No. Ride is too harsh, even with non-rfts. They kurb ridiculously easily and a nick so minor you're not sure it even happened looks like you have hit a kurb at 60, the metal is so soft its unreal and the design means it sticks out over the tyre, even if the tyres are oversized. And they are very very difficult to refurb. (there are other threads going on this subject).

As for the spoiler - I don't really like it but it does make a useful handle for lifting/closing the boot. Don't hate it enought to bother removing it, again - it makes the car a little different, which I like since E90's are so common in this part of the country.

Chris, I can't thank you enough for your very candid views here. I've actually had a very similar conversation with my dealer today. He basically said "don't bother, it looks great anyway". And let's face it, between the spoiler and the wheels I'd be spending the best part of 3.5k which isn't exactly small change. And nicks on allows really do my head in so I'd probably never relax with the car if they were on it.

In summary, I'm leaving it as is for a while. Thanks for your views guys. Pics will be up soon!

No worries, the going rate for a mint set of 313's on ebay seems to be about £1,700, so if you were going to do it, I wouldn't pay dealer price for them....

Enjoy the car as it is when you get it, you have plenty of time to think about new wheels in the future :-)

The Aberdeen dealer has a E90 Sport Plus in white with 313s in the showroom brand new.

They must be available for it.

Looked fine.

Have a look at some photos of my E90 LCI... I did not like the 313's on the E90 until I saw them in the flesh and I went and got a set:

The wheels show off the disk brakes and large stoppers well. Probably one of the best set of wheels I have ever owned.
