Results are in: RB & Nitrous

I managed to get the car run on the dyno today.
Conditions where 15 degrees Celsius, 45% humidity, 5450ft altitude.
The dyno I used is similar to the Mustang dynos in terms of power output.
The car was run with 109octane and NO meth as we start going through our testing stages.
Mods are RB's, AR Dp, Helix Cooler, AE Exhaust
Stock Boost base run the car made 276hp non SAE. This is about 25hp than the average N54 on this dyno.
On 14.5psi which we decided to test today was 509hp and 544lb ft. This with a .40 nitros jet and .23 fuel at 50 psi fuel pressure and a 94% setting on the progressive.
The guy had his printer in for repair so the dyno graph will follow but we do have a drop in power 6200rpm and up due to the altitude.
All in all I am happy with the power output and its within the range I expected. Next weekend we will test the benefits of the methanol on top of this and will up the boost a bit and see what happens.
Guys that read this do not forget the altitude I am at and the average FBO N54 gains 35whp going to the coast.
The car is lethal on the road so now lets hope the track manages to hold the power on Sunday. Will keep you guys updated.

Here is a picture someone took of some of the runs from the beginning of the testing.

We cleaned up the top eventually with the drop off starting at 6200rpm. The turbo's suffer at this altitude badly.

Congrats, that's very nice for altitude. Is the track your heading to above 5k ft as well?

you really have to pay extra for same HP @ altitude for sure

Same hight. Full interior with RB's the best I have managed is 11.9 with a 1.69 60ft so its far of the pace of the coastal tracks.

Breaking into the 11s @ altitude is no small feat. I'm guessing ambient temps were favorable for that run?

Looking forward to see how your next trip to the track goes...

i'm also interested to see your dyno curve with just RBs. I'm @ 6k ft and TQ falloff on stock turbos was steep at 4500rpm running 14.5psi

there's tons of info on the RBs here and on n54tech.com...do some searching, they're not "just" compressor wheels..

George buddy, amazing!!! Hit the track! You're giving me hope for a NOS setup I'd like to see that AFR with that much to the ground

yeah, i see that now.

some other company was supposed to come out with some "stealth" turbo's that are upgrades, but they kept the stock housings to give it a "stock turbo" appearence.

dealership wouldn't ever think that these turbos had been tampered with unless they unbolted them and started molesting the insides, HAHA !!!

The tuning was relatively simple.
Timing stayed between 15 down to 11's.
AFR's run around 13 at 3500 down to 12.2 at 6000. We needed to alter the map a bit in terms of AFR's as the jet would not keep the optimal fueling right through the rpm range. The intention is to add methanol which I will do next weekend and the fueling should be perfect.
I will then flash back to stock and try out the Procede with its latest access tricks.

Man. I so want RB turbos with some Procede. What kind of WHP can you get without meth and/or nitrous?

We had a look at the dyno picture tonight and have concluded that the rpm is incorrect on it. What reads as 5500 is actually at 6000rpm. The dynos require you to ride the car to 3500rpm and press a button to learn rpms and it seems this one is out. At 6000rpm we let out the gas and lower it over 250rpm to 50% on controller before shutting it off. Need to get back and get this sorted. We realized this as we did the tuning in third gear and this is a fourth gear run. Phew I am a bit relieved as I was about to go shift at 5700 hehe
