BMW 335ia stage3 vs Porsche 997 Turbo

You guys need some more top end grunt, mid rpm looks good though.

ps I don't know much about the 997 turbo, wiki says it is 2006-2009, is this correct? Not listed on carsales.com.au either

got any hp/tq, weight numbers? How much would one set you back in oz? And whats the difference between the 996 and 997 (ie your car )

I know google could answer this but I'm confused.. on the porsche site it doesn't even list these cars.. I assume they are 911 variants?

I think the relevance is "haha I've got a faster car than you". There's nothing wrong with that... in the second video the 335 stayed with the porsche and even beat it initially... which is pretty good given what I think are the hp/tq / weight figures for the porsche

This is comparing Apples and Oranges, OK the 335 has a few tweeks. If you were to add a Flash Tune to the 997TT it would give it an extra 100-150HP. Both cars are awesome BTW.

Stock 997TT MKI is 450HP, car on todays market is $200-$230K.

Add meth and it would be a close race. The 997 is much much quicker out of the box though.

Sort of a pointless race but a good gauge of what an N54 with FBO is capable of. Comparing modded vs stock is never a fair comparison and is always just a bit of fun.

Buy a 1k Daewoo Lanos, dump 20k into it and it'll shit on everything. Except you're also shitting on yourself for driving such a car so I don't really know where I'm going with this

I think in that last clip the BMW did well to keep up for as long as it did, it really is just the top end they are lacking.

without a rolling start, the 335 would get raped even more
the 335 had only driver whereas i assume the 997 has passenger
Interesting comparison. Just goes to show how much faster the 997 is.
