335xi JB3 and exhaust vs. Evo 9 on E85 - Flashlight Drag Racing

Thought you guys may like to see what a full bolt-on, tuned, auto 335xi can do against a stock turbo Evo 9 running E85.

There are a few other races thrown in too. Fuel pump failed in the 335's first run. Didn't fail in the second run.

Enjoy!

I have owned an Evo IX and it is a great car. Doesn't take much to get it to 400awhp. Only problem with the car it is a race car. Daily driving it sucks. The bmw may be slower but the added comfort I will pick that over an Evo any day.

My car was full weight in these races (very livable), but now I'm trying to get after a world record for a bone stock motor/bone stock turbo Evo (not so livable). I've had to pull the a/c, rear seats, crash beams, trunk lining, wiper fluid resovior, and rear wing (guessing the car is around 3000lbs now, down from 3280). Still could get some more weight out of her, but it is a daily driven car with 87k miles on the clock and counting - I refuse to give up the radio...for now.

I'd like to see what a FBO + Meth 335i can do vs Evo from 60-130 mph I think the outcome will be very different. Great times though, nice to see some 10 sec Evos on stock turbos.

Yeah, I'm not sure if that 335i was running meth or not - I doubt it. I love the n54 but almost wish it didnt have DI. It makes it tough to swap out for E85.

Still say the biggest fault with E90/92's when it comes to racing is weight. That coupe I raced was probably around 600-700lbs heavier than my car.
