You need to plug in the USB cable to a laptop and the user software will tell you what they are. Best to have a look at the sticky (I think it is here but I usually look at the one on n54tech) and follow the instructions

BT cable is one way to do it, albeit the more expensive route. If your JB3 didnt come with the USB cable, then you need to order it from Terry@BurgerTuning. Once you plug the cable into the JB3, you can pull codes, delete codes, plus upgrade the jb's firmware located on the N54tech forum. BT cable runs $300 or so, but the jb cable is something like $5. Your choice!!!

The jb3 does not offer code reading/clearing. You have one of three options:

1. Upgrade to jb4
2. Buy a bt cable
3. Read the codes using a code reader from an automotive parts shop such as autozone.

My personal recommendation is upgrading to a jb4.

Sorry OP i didn't realise the JB3 could not read codes. I am new here and have the JB4 and it will read ALL codes (as i understand) from the user laptop interface along with a propper description, not just the code. Hardest part is getting the usb cable from the ECU box through the firewall and into the glovebox. well not so much as technically hard just a bit tight for someone with fat fingers

If you were flooring it at the time it might be as simple as your charge pipe popping off

its the black plastic/rubber pipe that runns up from the FMIC (on the right side of the engine bay) and under the stock airbox. i'd say its about 2 - 2.5 inch in diameter with 2 plastic DV's sitting on top of it.

To be honest sounds like you need a mechanic
