Stock 17s...should I consider tire insurance

my N55 just started production (FINALLY) and i've been lurking around looking for what i might need. so im mostly going to be driving around NYC / LI roads and was wondering if the insurance is worth it or just drive slow and play the avoid the pothole game.

idk if this makes any difference but im planning to keep the car for a while...

thanks!

Ok... Wheel and tire insurance should cover all oem wheels and tires you have on your car. I own my car for 1 year and and been through 3 tires and 1 rim. Did not paid a dime. I hear that you can bargain with them for the price of the insurance. Do not pay more than $800 for it. More than that, they are ripping you off.

If you stay 17 personally i dont think it's worth it but if you have 189's or better wheels than yea it's worth it.

It's worth to buy either way, 17" or not. Most insurance deals you get last for 5 years. So one nail in a tire than you get a new one. Or even a bubble. One small pot hole won't bend you wheels but will give you a bubble...... But your choice. If you drive alot and thinking of keeping th car for a while, than get it

You might want to clarify what the cancellation terms of the policy are. I bought a 5 year policy and cancelled after a year (replaced 1-16" RFT in that time) and I received a full pro-rated refund for the remaining 4 years (b/c I'm not on stock wheels/tires anymore).
