Switching out rims, what else do I need to do?

Hi,

I'm planning on purchasing some 162's from someone on this forum. When I get them, is there anything I need to do before I install them. Should I take them to a shop to ensure they're balanced?

Also, I have a 2006 330i, I'll likely be buying them from someone with a 335i. I've read on the forums that the TPMS is different on the e92's than the e90's. Apparently, the e92's have the TPMS inside the tire, while the e90 doesn't? In a scenario where the seller doesn't want to take the time to remove the sensors, is there any problem with me just slapping those tires and rims from the e92 onto my e90? Will my TPMS go crazy not knowing what to do or will it just ignore it, or will it not even work? Little help here. Thanks everyone.

Get some anti-seize and rub some on the center-hub when you install the wheels. As for balance...depends how long the pre-owner had use the wheels.

I just install 162 (from a 335 e90) onto my 325 e90....one thing I notice is that my signal lights doesn't turn off after a turn. Example: I signal left and turn left, my left signal still blinks and have to trun it off manually....WEIRD
Maybe is the TPMS (how can I take them off)???? or maybe my car is all fuked up

I think the oem wheels are all 100% fitment so NO need for hub-centric rings...just slap them on and
