I just found out the the Volk's ME's I ordered 3 months ago which were in stock in Japan and supposed to be here 6 weeks ago have not even left Japan!


Just a rant........ I love the Volk's but this is ridiculous.

Wow, I know what it feels like to wait months for parts from Japan and it blows. Who did you order them through? I know that its kind of late for suggestions, but Gruppe-S is usually pretty good at getting containers over here from Japan once a month.

Dave at R & D Motorsports...He has been super nice and apologetic but unfortunately that does not get me my wheels any sooner....

Mackin gets containers often too unfortunately my wheels were not in any of them and as far as I know all Volk's in the US come through them

Sorry to hear that - when I purchased my last set of Volks back in '05, I waited like 4 1/2 months for them after being told the could be as little as 6 weeks out... all depends on the timing of when the crate is full - so if you're the first set of wheels in the crate, you're pissed and if you're the last set of wheels in, you're ecstatic...

Yeah I have heard that but in my case there have been other crates but for some reason mine were not in them

I know your pain. We are a large Volk distributor and I know that certain wheels and certain offsets take longer for production. The more limited the wheel the longer it can take. Volk mainly produces the TE/CE/RE right now. If anyone else is looking for Volks give me a shout. Our prices are not beaten.

Yeah I know the production deal takes a while and I wouldn't have ordered them if that was the case (because I didn't want to wait 3+ months) but I was assured that there was a set in my widths and offsets already produced in Japan and all they had to do was ship them over. Here it is nearly four months later and they supposedly still have not been able to ship them over.......I was told they will hopefully be on a container coming in the 19th...we'll see

I really wanted Progressiv TE's but did not want to "wait" on them that long....oh well

Nope I gave up 2 weeks ago. When I ordered them they had a set in stock in Japan but they got gone somehow and they didn't bother telling anyone until 2 weeks agowhat had happened. I have apparently been waiting five months for them to get enough orders to manufacture another set. Mackin claimed they were going to be here the end of June but nothing else they have said has worked out so I gave up.

Dave ordered some M6 reps from **********s to mount my tires on he already had and is refunding the balance. M6 reps should be here next week.

What a bummer. It should look really nice with M6 reps, though. Can't wait to check it out. I'll probably call over next week, and if things don't look good, I'll probably go with ultraleggeras, and use the extra cash for mods

I think the M6 reps will definitely look good. I never wanted anything with a polished lip or flashy anyway. I wanted to stay with a understated OEM look. I will definitely post pics

As much as I love volk, advan etc, the wait time has me lost as a customer. the only way i will order Volk or Advan again is if the vendor or dealer has them instock

I feel the same way and I am also very displeased with the way Mackin handled the whole thing. 6 weeks to 6 months is a big difference in wait time and apparently they didn't feel the need to let anyone know about the problem.

I swear Mackin has some serious customer service issues. Love Volk, hate Mackin!

Yep I agree....Dave got stuck in the middle and did his best to correct the situation but it could have been diffused 5 months ago if they would have communicated what was going on when they place the order in Japan.......

Someone is going to get luck out and get a deal with no wait on some ME's

RikuE90 had waited 5 months for his Japan BBS forged RS-GT. In fact, 3 months wait is minimum, at least here.

3 months wait is minimum her also if you have to wait on a production run. Which I understand but I was not willing to wait 3 or more months. I like the wheels I just did not want them that badly. I was told they had a set in stock in Japan all they had to do was ship them over on the next container. Well something happened to that set.....no one seems to know where they went......so little did I know I have been waiting on them to get enough orders to produce 20 of each front & rear (width, offset, color etc.)......No one never communicated that the original set was not available and that I would have to wait on the production run. If they would have told me up front that it may be 6 months I would have considered and maybe I would have waited but at least it would have been my choice. This whole hassle could have been avoided months ago....Volks are great wheels and the ME's look great on e90's and e92's. When I backed out they were supposed to be here in another month. I am just so frustrated after the whole ordeal that if they were here today I wouldn't want them anymore.
