Fog Lights - Got new HIDs and a couple questions
Just ordered a set of new H11 fog lights for my '07 E90 from highperformancebulbs, installed them and they are excellent! I will get pictures as soon as I get my DEPO v2s installed. I would like to point out that they were completely error free, without even buying any error cancelers! Definitely worth the extra $$ to know that you are getting a high quality kit. Full review will be coming soon also.
See link for the set that I bought: http://www.highperformancebulbs.com/hipexeh11pla1.html Got a question though, my fog lights are very murcky / spotted. The glass is not clear at all in the front. What are my options? Can I clean them (I believe its on the inside, since I tried scrubbing down the outside to no luck)? Not sure if it is rock chips either... OR is it possible to buy new housings / where can I get those? Thanks in advanced! |

Chances are it's just very fine pitting and chipping, along with some fading from the sun. Happens to headlights all the time, and fogs are closer to the ground so they're exposed to a lot more dirt, sand, rocks, etc. I would try wetsanding them or using something like 3M's headlight restore kit (includes polish and sanding and buffing pads that attach to whatever rotary tool you have) before you buy a new set.

You could always upgrade to projectors. I think that's what I'll be doing

Just want to update and say that these are SUPER bright!! they currently light up the road better than my stock halogens, but do not go up above the eye level. Really enjoying them so far! |

You can try polishing. There is a product called PLASTX and it would behoove you to use a buffer. |
