Anyone know if you can get a tint ticket dropped?

I've gotten 3 tint tickets in the past 2 weeks. Cops seem to be out in full force looking for people with tint these past few weeks.

Can I get the tickets dropped if I get rid of the front tint and show up to court? I figure it'll be cheaper to redo it than to pay these 3 tickets. 2 years and I've gotten one ticket and now all of a sudden, I get 3. Kind of weird.

You can't get them dropped. The only thing you can do is get an eye doctor to say that you need them for a pre-exsisting eye condition.

Judges hate tints and so do cops because it's for "officer safety" and obviously they don't play around with that. Where did you get the ticket?

this isn't guaranteed to work, but if you take off the tint, or atleast get a reciept showing you had it removed, they can drop the fine in court, but that will require time in acquiring the proof and then waiting through a few court days. i say fuck it and pay up. its only 54 dollers a piece in nj. I've paid my fair share of those

get a receipt that you took them off. you can make a receipt online. take pics of a car that they have been taken off and send it in w/ lic plate. done. done a couple times and it works. so if you have one of your boys who got the same car but no tint. winnars.

20%. If you want cops to leave you alone, your best bet would be 35% as the darkest, but even that's not guaranteed.

I wish 35% was safe. Here is one for you guys, state seems to be out there trying to make some money...

After 2 years of no issues, finally got a BS tint ticket on the westside highway for 35% tints today at almost 7pm in this weather!! My gf was driving alone and an unmarked police car pulls her over. Having a relative's badge did not help. He actually took the light meter out and it showed 30% in the car. Firstly, obviously the car is going to be dark inside as it is almost 7pm on a rainy and cloudy evening!! Then he proceeds to give a ticket for the driver side and passenger side windows, $45 each according to him, and informs her that she is lucky that he is not giving 2 more for the rear windows. Secondly, you are allowed to have tints on the back windows from what I know as they came from the FACTORY and it is allowed in NYS!! Thirdly, he gave the excuse that this was for her safety as there can be kidnappings and rapings happening in cars with tints!! Thank you for being such a logical, educated and informed PO.
