Hello All,

Has anyone with a new coupe chromed the 197 style sport wheels?

These are the wheels.

Please post pics if you have...

Heres what I could do... I like it!

Just have to see what the trade in value is at my wheel shop. If they are worth enough, I might just swap them for something else...

You're not gonna get supporting views on chrome factory wheels or chrome wheels in general here.

I have 197s on my E90, imho I don't think it lends itself to chroming. It'd look cheap I think. I'd rather have a machined finish or gunmetal finish on them...

Ok, so after many nights of contemplation I think this is what I am going with. I am just going to chrome the sport wheels and get a lowering kit.

I know that a lot of people do not like chrome, but dont say it wont look good till you see it... i went to the dealer too order my car. At that point I couldent find a car with these wheels let alone with them chromed. Well sure enough, all three 328 coupes that were on the lot had these wheels chromed...

I really wasent sure till I saw it, but it makes these wheels look incredible!

I don't care for chrome that much either but someone posted a silver E90 with Iforged Classics in high polish and they looked really good, so you never really know.

those wheels are ugly and would look worse in chrome. I have the 189's in chrome and think those work better in chrome
