No I am not a Daily Mail reader, except occasionally in the barbers.
Never bought it in my life. If you want to read a load of clap trap, the best paper I would suggest is: 'The Guardian' newspaper. It's where over the years, since 1945, all this socialist nonsence has been put about and believed by so called intelligent people. Cumulating in the 11 years of the last Government. The Guardian newspaper has a lot to answer for. Never for hundreds of years has London seen anything like it. Possibly, I would suggest, going back to a time in the 'Dark Ages.' For reference check out the writings of the Venerable Bede. Died 673 AD. |

Have you had your local neighborhood shop windows smashed lately by a mob?
e.g. The Cafe, the pet shop, the sun bed shop, the sweet shop and travel agent ? If you had I am sure you would not be so smug & silly! |

At least someone realised I was actually agreeing with Carjack, I spent many many long hours taking bottles bricks and petrol bombs not to mention the odd round fired in our direction to take the piss out of anyone saying the Army are the best option to police the current riot situation. the current police "Service" does not have the experience or trained manpower to beable to controll any forcefull mob, football, students, pensioners, and the like are not the same as as a mob bent on destruction at any cost. this sort of mob will open up multi fronts, fire at one end of the street, looting at the other end, with car fires closebye, all done to fragment the police numbers and efectiveness. The army are used to the tactics and respond accordingly, and do not just stand there watching making sure it keeps going. Well enough from me. and sorry for confusing Carjack. Oh and a quick pic of my new arrival.

Hi Zurich! Very sorry indeed I misunderstood your post!
Prob is I have just been a bit 'steamed-up' over the last few days and now just starting to cool down! There is no doubt, the rioting has been more extensive over the London area than what has been shown in the press. e.g. my town centre & neighborhood shop smash-up has'nt got a mention. I suppose because we are not a 'deprived' area. Am glad to see that arrests in The London area now exceed 3000. For a long time it was only 1000+ and that was with 16,000 police on the streets. Many people must have been involved in the riots. I note that in Eltham, S E London not a window was smashed, because they had local vilagantes on the streets! A sign of things to come? Zurich, your new motor is superb! I would just love to have 5 doors on my next motor! Prob for me is that the 5th door would absorb the cost of a few other goodies which I like. Usually have to 'make-do' with the folding rear seats. Cheers! |
