e92 Angel Eyes + 35w Nokya H8 Bulbs = Error
Okay, so I picked up two pairs of the Nokya's Arctic White 35w H8 bulbs (reference link below) for the foglights and angel eyes. After putting the angel eyes in, it was working fine during the day as DRLs, but at night when I turned on my regular headlights, the computer threw out an error (refer to page 135 in the owner's manual). In the manual, the warning indicator displayed on my dash translates as a "bulb of exterior lighting system failed."
I got out of the car and checked the lights and both the angel eyes and headlamps were working fine. After I got home about 5 minutes later, I got out of my car to examine the lights again and this time both angel eyes were off with only the headlamps shining. I turned off the car and restarted everything and the angel eyes were back on, but when I turned on the headlights the mentioned events would reoccur. In conclusion, the angel eyes worked fine as long as the headlights weren't on. Once the headlights are turned on, the computer will throw back the error indicator and in a few minutes, the angel eyes will shut off. So is has any other e92 owners tried using this particular brand of bulbs? If so, what was your experience. I'm planning on returning the Nokyas and picking up two sets from GP Thunder instead. Other members on this board have tried those along with the Mtechs and have had no problems with them. Hopefully my car will be no exception, but it seems like my car doesn't like the Nokyas. Wasn't there a thread that told people to avoid Nokyo H8 Bulbs? I say go with GP thunders or M-tec superwhites.

Yeah... It's a 35watts bulb that has an output of 55watts. I originally thought that the salesperson gave me the bulbs with the incorrect outtage, but he confirmed that they were 35watt bulbs that had an output equivalent to 55watts. I also checked on the bulbs themselves to validate.

So I'll be returning the Nokyas tomorrow and ordering some GP Thunder bulbs. Thanks to everyone who replied on the thread and for future owners looking to swap out these h8 bulbs, avoid the Nokyas as it seems like our cars just don't like them much.

I have the Nokias and they work fine, no error codes. Nice blue as well. I got mine for like $15 a pair. Why would you pay $35 for the other brand when its the same thing. Bulbs these days besides Piaa are all made in korea and china. It's just different 2nd parties that make a different packaging and brand it off as something else. They are all the same bulbs pretty much.
