Fixing peeling drivers door pull

Anyone done this?

Any advice welcome.

I'm not sure if you can remove the door handle from the door card - but I'm probably about to find out......

you cant just order the part its been done on here before, and its cost hundreds pounds to replace, just rub off the peeling bit back to the line,then you wont notice it as much its still a nice black

I should have been more specific - I've given up on new parts and I'm going to attempt to respray it matt black - I'm doing the steering wheel trim too anyway. The shiney plastic underneath does look that good I don't think.

Hence I'm after advice on how you detach the handle - I've a nasty feeling it is bonded in place, which might make things tricky.
