E90 PIAA angel eyes people...

First of all, I do love the PIAAs. At 6500K, they look perfect with the xenons.

Then one day, I turned the car on, and saw the angel eye rings blinking when I turned all the lights off. I turned the light switch towards auto to turn on xenons and rings, then turned it back. They were still blinking though! So I turned on DRLs which were just the rings, and tried to turn them off again. They were blinking until i turned the car off. However, the next time, it was fine.

Has this ever happened to any of you guys?

DRL are the inside H8 bulbs and not the rings in E90, did you mean you turn on the parking lights?

Regardless, maybe the cables came loose?

i think frogman said something about the LEDs blinking because the computer sends power to it to see if it works or something... the oem ones dont have enough wattage to produce the light so you don't see the blinking.

i might be completely wrong but ask him

When you first turn the car on the angel eyes can blink if you have PIAA, lux, brex, etc

This happens because the car checks each outside bulb to see if it is working. Once the car is running for a few seconds this should not happen. If the lights are blinking after the car has been on for a while or while the lights are in the parking lamp position - then you have a problem

actually sometimes even when you are driving the car will send the signal to the lights to check that they are functioning ... its completely normal and not a big deal
