Just seen the cost of 225 30 19 tyres :-(

Hi

I have a new E92 320d M sport in white with the 313 19' wheels coming on the 12th September, I love the look of the big wheels but nearly passed out when i saw the cost of replacing the tyres

What would be a good replacement when the time comes? I know run flats are crap but it seems there isn't much choice at that size

Should be 255/30/19 rear? 225/35/19 front.

Falkens 452 are vfm IMO - you need 265/30/19 on rear as they don't make 255/30/19 but they are still a perfect fit - I've now done 20,000 miles on mine and rears are still good. Many threads on here.

+1 for Falkens too...and sizes as stated by ajd. Great tyres for price and durable.

Get a set of 4 for about £450-500

More like £530 - 550.00 based on Camskills prices (19" tyres).

265/30's are not available at the moment owing to the Tsunami, but should be arriving in the next 3-4 weeks.

Vredestein Ultra's are a good alternative and are available,or were.

What tyres will it be coming with?

If you're looking at the prices of 255/30/19 RFT's, then yes they are expensive - approaching £300 each.

A fairly common 'upgrade' is to move to non-RFT's in a 235/35 and 265/30 combination - a full set (Vredesteins) from Oponeo is about £720 at the moment, or £632 from Camskill.

If the new car is coming with RFT's, you could sell them and virtually cover the cost of new non-RFT's.

There are lots of 'RFT vs non-RFT' threads on here - have a search
