Nexen
Just picked up a set of nexen n5000\'s on my xi and was a little scared because of their low price but am pleasantly surprised. Traction good. Noise a bit loud on certain surfaces but better than rft\'s. Tread life good so far only have 10k on them...but I would buy them again. 224-40-18\'s

I had some 3000's in the past. Like you said, they are a little loud but the wet traction was good and so was tire wear. Not bad tires for the price, but they don't compare to Pilot Super Sports or RE-11's, it's like going from speds to Nike.

I'd try them let's face it most of us never even drive our cars or their tires to their full potential so why go crazy when it comes to some tires. I'm sure their great but just a little overpriced......

Ive got the n3000s and they handle pretty good and grip better than the Potenza re760s they replaced. To be fair these are 10mm wider though. But they are way too loud! I am not used to this kind of noise in any other tire i've ever had before. Maybe its the tread design, i dont know, but not going this route again thats for sure. Unfortunately these tires have plenty of life left in em.

I drive the car/tires for all it's worth (track and street)....and trust me, I'll never get cheap tires again. Spend an extra $50 a tire and get some quality ones like Conti Contact DW, Mich PSS, or if on a budget Hankook V12. My last set was Falken 452's and I feel like I wasted 6 months of my life driving on them.
