335xi Auto Trans
Hi I've been told from a few shops that the auto transmission can't take much more power then a flash and bolt ons safely. Does anyone know how much power it can handle for a daily driver? I have cobb, IC, DCI, exhaust and going to install DP's when stage 2 is available. I was thinking meth kit but am concerned about reliability.

the transfer case is really what suspect all the bolts and meth on stock turbos is not going to blow the tranny(input joke here) unless you add nitrous

6hp19 is rated at 255-295ft/lbs max input torque. Its used in the 330I/335I. Our cars are dyno at 265wheel horse power, and 275ft/lbs to the wheels stock. So we are already at the limit. Now, with upgraded trans cooling via a tranny cooler, or an extra radiator, like the factory performance kit has, and you can handle 325wtq, cuz I think the kit ups the power by 50whp/50wtq, with the factory warranty. So don't go higher than 315whp/325wtq.
