keep blowing couplings

like title says...ever since I've upgraded to an aftermarket FMIC I keep blowing either the top coupling to the charge pipe or the lower coupling that connects to intercooler. Best way to solve this?

Did u install the small black clips that hold the radiator support, not sure Wa this is call. I didnt at first and my IC was kinda hanging low, the lower hose keep popping off, I put the clip back and problem solved. hard to explain

I used the adjustable stainless clamps. Don't believe it came with black clips...

Switch to T-bolt clamps.

I would caution against Tbolt clamps...they are in fact very strong..so strong that if you tighten to much you can crimp or break the piping which would def cause a leak...I am running over 16psi..and using only worm clamps w no issues..

Just go over each coupling and tighten..then go from there.

No, the clips I'm taking abt are already on the car. U have to remove this in order to change the IC, I made the mistake of not installing 1 of them back and I keep causing 1 of my hoses to keep popping off.

Use a stock charge pipe, and check your tune for huge boost spikes.

I'm using the Tbolt clamps, but this is really good advice. On my ER FMIC, I definitely tightened the clamps on the metal piping tighter than on the plastic OEM pipe. I also checked for crimps and leaks afterward, because I was afraid of this exact scenario.

Get some aquanet hairspray, spray the joint, re-install the clamps, tighten. Heard it works great.
