07 335i Issues

Hi everyone.

Came to this forum for a bit of help. I purchased an 07 335i 6MT in January 2010 with 30,000kms. Love the car for the most part but I have had some issues.

Had the HPFP replaced as well as new spark plugs but still getting the engine malfunction error. Any insight here would be great. Car has 85,xxx now.

I recently had the clutch and flywheel replaced but after getting the car back from servicing this engine malfunction light again last week (light came back on the day after - dealer said they cleared some faults), I'm getting a vibration/rattle while shifting. At times the stick shakes pretty good and other times you can feel 'something' while shifting.

Today while exiting the highway, I went from 6th to 4th then to neutral and that's where the stick was vibrating ferociously.

Has anyone experienced similar problems? Would love some help from anyone who has knowledge of the issue or similar experience. I'm taking the car to the dealership tomorrow to have them look at it.

I looked at some other threads discussing the CDV - could this be part of the issue?

Thanks

i have an 07 335i convertible.

i had my turbos replaced at 50k, hpfp at 55k, tranny replaced at 75k, and at new engine at 85k.

my car used to shake like that too, and they ended up replacing my tranny.

note - i had a bunch of other things replaced as well, engine related sensors, brake sensors, my hard top major components were replaced, they even replaced the connecting pipes to my intercooler

Did you ever flush your transmission fluid?

Have you scanned the car to see what the code is?

Spoke with the dealer today and it seems as there are bolts hitting the drive shaft.

Could this be because they forgot to torque them in properly during the clutch work? I can't imagine these bolts coming loose due to normal wear and tear.

Has this happened to anyone else?

i actually have been noticing some wierd rattling noises too, when i shift and also when im turning and shifting. Should i get this checked out? I thought it was maybe the actuator thing in the exhaust , but I have been doubting it cuz it happens way to often.

Also does anyone notice that shifting into second is quite sticky? I have to really click the gear in, it doesnt smooth shift in...anyone else have that issue??
