Which mods void warranty?

On a stock 08' 335i

Procede Tune
Intake
Vanguard exhaust
FMIC
AR downpipes

Which of these voids my warranty and how long do they take to take off and put back on?

My reasoning is, HOPEFULLY, I won't be at the dealership too much to fix my shit so when the time comes to take them off, it is worth it since it's not an everyday thing.

All of those have the "possibility" to void part of the warranty or denial of service.

Any after market mods can void part of your warranty

So you understand OP.the dealer SA can deny coverage for a repair or revoke warranty if they can attribute any of the issues you have to the mod..w that said..there is a huge gray area..its all dependent on:

-The SA/ Dealership
-The type of issue w the car
-The cost,
-If they can/cant determine it was caused by the mod
-The position of the moon w jupiter...etc.etc

Simple answer..all of em can potentially void your warranty or cause them to deny coverage...its a crap shoot

All can void warranty.

Time to remove:
Procede - 30 min
Intake - 20 min
Exhaust - 1 hour
FMIC - 20 min
Downpipes - 2 hours

I figure these times are in the ballpark for a novice with some practice and the right tools.

Your second question should not need a response, it should be obvious... But being you asked, take your mods off if you have warranty dealership work. It's just the smart and logical thing to do.

Or you can opt to wait till your outta of warranty to mod..this what I did..there are several advantages to this, first you will see how reliable the car is stock thru 4 yrs..second each time you take off and put on mods..you are increasing the chance to break something or install error..regardless if you are a novice or not.

Hit off your SA 50-60 bucks next time u bring ur car in before you mod and that should help to your advantage of the SA turning his back on a modded car for the most part

Theoretically all of them can void your warranty.

Downpipes are the most tedious to install
Second is exhaust.

Either plan on removing mods for dealer visits or hope your dealer/sa are mod friendly.

If you have a warranty, do the simple things such as tune and intake and hold off til your warranty is up to do things such as DPs and exhaust.

That's what I did and the day my warranty went up I installed a BUNCH of stuff and haven't been to the dealer since(knock on wood)

All potential could void the warranty.

You can probably get away with an Exhaust and FMIC, unlikely they would say anything. Tune and Intake takes minutes to uninstall. Your only problem are the Downpipes, they can be tedious for a beginner (even an expert requires 2 hours).

nobody is going to void your warranty....they will just deny service...find a dealer that is mod friendly...that is all

i think the only way they will void your warranty is on a lease because technically, it's not your car, so you shouldn't be modding it
