E92 - Bought the Black Lower grilles from Tischer -- Why does one look different?

SO I ordered the black lower grilles from tischer for my E92 335i - and everything looks great BUT the piece for the outer right is different than the one for the outer left. Its got the mesh look but half of it is filled in.

The stock gray ones I have right now are not like that.

All 3:

Right Side:

Left Side:

any ideas? I want to make sure I got the right parts before I start taking apart my bumper.

The passenger side grille has your vent for the oil cooler. If you dont have that on your grilles before you may not have the vent or oil cooler which was the case for earlier model 335's.

My M-Sport grilles have a vent on the passenger side and and induction tube inlet in the middle grille.

The Right one is closed off to channel the air into a brake cooling vent. Look inside your Driver side wheel well and you can see it. If it were "open" like the Left side it would allow air to bypass the intake side of the vent. The Left side has an oil cooler and is "Open" so the air goes through the entire cooler on the Passenger side.

I know it's old, but the black ones are different bc they aren't made for the 335. They come on the NA 3 series. That is also the reason why they qre not designed for the turbo models' oil coolers.

Garage List
I thought it had to do with the active cruise control. I don't have it so my dealer couldn't get the black ones apparently, only gray... So I had to paint mine. Really not sure though...
