Oil leak from oil cooler area?

Hi,

I have an 08 335i with 54k miles on it, the car seems to have a small oil leak in the intercooler area.

Can someone advise what is the best course to proceed? I do have extended warranty (platinum coverage) from BMW for 7 yrs / 100k miles.

Do a search for an oil filter housing gasket leak. You need to buy the gasket and change it out.

I think he is referring to the oil cooler or the lines running to it, would need a picture of where it is leaking from

According to the OP in his other thread, oil is leaking from his intercooler...??

Thats correct, the leak is actually on both the pipes leading to and out of the intercooler

I misstated it earlier thinking it was the oil cooler. Dropped it off at the dealer today, they think it might be a power steering leak dripping over to the intercooler piping- though not sure why the leak would show up on both sides of the intercooler where the hoses mate.
