Oil Filter Question???

I am goin to get the part's for my 2007 May E90 320d Sport 163bhp service..

I got 6 ltr's of 5W/30 Casteral Edge LL04 oil for €70 in my local motor factors, (BMW price was €132) but i was wanting to get genuine filter's!!!

Is it possible to get them genuine without goin to the main ripoff dealers????

I know the oil grade should be 0W/30,but i don't think it's gonna be a major difference... It was almost half the price like hello...!!!
Any help on the filter's wud be grate guy's!!!

I'm told there are two oil filter's,one for the turbo too, they are both €100 here which i personally think is a disgrace!!!

An oil filter from a motor factor would be no more than £10 tops. Think you must be getting confused here.

I rang bmw yesterday an they said i needed the main oil filter (€24) and the one for the turbo too (€72) so that's a total of €96

I didn't want to use an after market oil filter out the motor factor if i could help it ya know?

indeed, i thought exactly the same.. but after a lot of hunting about and turning up nothing (bar http://www.bmminiparts.co.uk/ which give you like 1% off), i just go the dealer now

something though, i would consider just grabbing off eBay.. and air filter would be one of those.. perhaps just pay an extra few quid for a K&N one that you can wash out and replace?
