Getting a power cable into arm-rest
Guys
I am trying to find the best way to run a power able (for rear monitors) into the arm rest? Before I start tugging at the plastic surround, i thought someone may be able to give me a heads up. I have two rear screens of which there is one power cable which needs a 12v socket. I didnt want to just 'tuck' it under the hatch - i'd hoped i could get a more tidy way of running it... Thoughts? Thanks in advance

Instead of adding new sockets, i might try and see if i can feed the cable into the inside of the arm rest to the existing socket....

Believe it or not, there is an 'Angry Robot' mod - the pop out ashtray is a storage compartment instead with a rubber lined base in it - this is the version I actually have fitted to mine so I suppose I have the angry robot, not the happy one as previosly stated ha ha |

I was hoping there was an even more simple way for me. I dont need the extra sockets - just a discrete way of routing the power cable from the bottom of the drivers chair and into the armrest to the existing power socket. Thoughts? Cheers Paul

Do you have electric seats? If so there must be power to the seat base that you may be able to tap off and run a cable inside the plastic seat back, and up to the headrests. Make sure you use inline fuses for any supplies just in case. |

you dont need the sockets. the link was to show where you can get the power from and how to remove the back panel of the armrest. you can then just push the wire under the bottom edge where it wont be seen and connect it to the 12v with scotchblok or solder
