It'll fit fine.
Just remember to do the TP monitor reset...

A 35 section is half an inch bigger in diameter than a 30 section tyre at 255 width - might it rub on a coupe? Touring would probably be ok.

I was concerned that would rub.
Also it would put the speedo reading out by about 3.5% if I remember rightly.
But I'm really not in a position to be waiting for tyres. I need them right away. And so have been considering all different options within reason of course( I.e no run flats and no Michelin etc)

Like you Dave I've been desperate for Falkens and emailed them direct (Falken UK) about two weeks ago.
The size you're after is manufactured in one of the factories that was hit hard by the tsunami, however they should be available in the next 3 wks or so, apparently.

I've just got two Vredestein Ultrac's:

http://www.camskill.co.uk/m55b758s34...19_265_30_R_19

I figured that having Vreds on the rear and Falkens on the front was better than a £120.00 fine and 6 pts!

I tried 265/35 on a E92 a few yrs ago and they did rub.

It's not the 265 or 255 part that's the problem, it's going from a 30 to 35 where the problem presents itself, so your still in the same situation with your size above.

but i thought the profile was a percentage of the width.
so 265 = 92.75 sidewall, and 255 =89.25 sidewall

please correct me if im wrong.

You're right, but the sidewall is a combination of the section & width - i.e. a) 35x265, b) 35x255, c) 30x265 or d) 30x255 (stock). Hence the impact of going from 35 from 30 is much bigger than from 265 from 255. As you quote the latter makes only 3mm difference, whereas the former is 12+mm.

The former is more likely therefore to be an issue. The margins are tighter (anecdotally) in the wheelarches on coupes than saloon/tourings - its not clear which you have.
